GIFT International Fintech Institute (GIFT IFI) is a pioneering initiative established by Gujarat International Finance Tech City Company Limited (GIFTCL) in partnership with Ahmedabad University, the Indian Institute of Technology Gandhinagar, and the University of California San Diego.

Key Responsibilities
- Engage in the development, refinement, and implementation of a comprehensive, cutting-edge curriculum that covers a range of topics including technology, computer science, capital markets, banking, payments, lending, and asset management.
- Contribute to the research agenda of the institute, focusing on relevant areas within FinTech such as financial technology, blockchain, AI in finance, and financial regulation.
- Establish the institute as a thought leader in the academic and professional FinTech communities by publishing papers, presenting at conferences, and participating in industry events.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with industry partners in sectors such as technology, banking, payments, capital markets, asset management, and lending.
- Ensure that academic programs meet internal and external quality standards and align with relevant accreditation requirements.
- Monitor student outcomes and academic performance, using data to inform continuous improvements to the curriculum and teaching methods.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the academic division, driving the long-term vision of the institute.
- Partake in all academic activities, ensuring high standards of education delivery and effective assessment methods.
Requirements
- Significant academic experience with a strong track record of teaching, research, and curriculum development in the field of finance and/or technology.
- Exposure to and understanding of key sectors in FinTech such as capital markets, banking, payments, lending, asset management, and technology (computer science, AI, blockchain).
- Proven leadership and management skills, with experience overseeing academic programs, faculty, and cross-functional teams.
- Industry professionals with significant hands on fintech experience may also apply.
Qualification
- Preferably PhD in Finance or a related field (e.g., Financial Engineering, Economics) from a reputable institution or Company Secretary with interest in fintech.
